Looking Glass Falls is one of the most easily accessible waterfalls near Asheville, making it an excellent choice for couples who want stunning waterfall photos without the hike. I love when couples decide to get in their bathing suits and explore around the falls, but I equally love when couples wear something flowy and fancy too like in the photo below! This 60-foot cascade is especially beautiful in the early morning or late afternoon when the light filters through the surrounding forest. While it’s accessible year-round, the best time for photos is late spring through early fall when the surrounding foliage adds vibrant color to the scene (and you won’t freeze from how cold it is + the mist!)

Our favorite spots include Hooker Falls, where couples can dip into a beautiful river with a waterfall; Skinny Dip Falls, with its crystal-clear pools and lush surroundings; Catawba Falls and other secret spots located in places like Graveyard Fields 🙂 These locations are best visited in summer when the water is warm enough for wading or swimming.
