When Sam and Jordan asked if we would do an anniversary shoot with them, we were already down. But then they mentioned they wanted to put on their wedding attire and frolick around the mountains. WE OF COURSE SCREAMED YESSS. Sam said she wanted to do a photoshoot where they felt like themselves, carefree, and surrounded by beautiful nature. They really wanted the vibes of an Asheville mountain elopement. I could not be MORE on board with all of that. So we booked and airbnb near the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains and got to work! Scroll through to see some of our favorite shots from their shoot. We also included a little vlog-style video we made of our shoot day.
We had such a blast with the two of them! I hope they inspire others to put on their best clothes (or wedding clothes!) and do a photoshoot. It is so fun to look back on these photos for years to come, and I want that for everyone!
We were already having fun while we were driving up the mountain to our destination. We stuck our heads out the window, talked about life, and getting amped up for the photoshoot. When we got to our destination, we took out Christian’s camping stove so we could heat up some soup. We knew we were going to need some fuel before the photoshoot! The soup truly hits different on a mountain top, lol. At the top of the mountain, the boys shared some beers and we hung out a little while we waited for the clouds to part a little bit.
It was absolutely freezing up on the mountain top! We wanted the clouds to part a little more, so we took shelter behind a hill as Sam and Jordan got ready. We did everything but put their wedding attire on, but we finally agreed that we shouldn’t wait any longer and they got dressed up! They were absolute TROOPERS because it was so freakin cold! I was bundled up in multiple jackets and I truly was afraid Sam was going to fall over and pass out with how cold it was! But by the pics you absolutely could not tell they were cold at all. I am in awe of their commitment for beautiful photos and making the Asheville mountain elopement photos a reality. LOVE IT.
After the photoshoot, it was time to get back into some warm clothes. Jordan asked a sweet man nearby if he would let us warm up by his fire, it was adorable and wholesome. We enjoyed the last moments of the sunset and the views before heading back to the car and going to our airbnb <3
Overall, it was an absolutely amazing shoot. I love that I get to work with people who want to explore, adventure, and aren’t afraid of a little wind to get some amazing shots. Truly is such an honor to do this as a job. Thank you Sam and Jordan for adventuring with me and letting me capture these memories 🙂
