Asheville Mountain & Waterfall Elopement

Meagan & Drake’s beautiful Asheville mountain elopement

Bride and groom hugging in front of a waterfall after getting married

One of the best ways to get married is having it just be the two of you. And this beautiful Asheville elopement proves just that.

Meagan and Drake wanted to create a wedding day that reflected their personality — adventurous, fun, and intimate. It was truly perfect in every way — these two are the kindest, most fun souls. It truly felt like we got to hang out with our best friends all day while capturing such a beautiful day in their life. What a sweet honor it was to be there! Continue on to take a look at what we did during their elopement day πŸ™‚

Getting Ready

Meagan and Drake spent the night in the cutest A-frame airbnb, and wanted to capture the getting ready process there. They actually slept in separate rooms and got ready separately so that they could surprise each other during the first look– which we loved so much!

First Look

After that, it was time or the first look. Behind their airbnb was a forest with beautiful bamboo trees and the loveliest weather. We thought it would be the sweetest place to do their first look. First looks are always the most tender things and we are so happy we got to witness theirs! We took some more photos at the airbnb right after the first look before we were off to the mountains!

Vow Exchange

It was the most beautiful and sunny October day, and we were so lucky that there was so few people around. Although it was a bit windy at the top, it did not stop the two of them from exchanging their vows and taking in the gorgeous views. The Blue Ridge mountains were really showing off that day :’)

Celebrations & Photos

Once we did the vow exchange, we celebrated by popping a bottle of sparkling water (leave no trace!) and cracking some beers open together. They insisted we have some too, so included is a photo I took of the two of them + Christian cheering together with the beer. After that, we ran around the photos and took some magical photos together before going to our final location of a waterfall! This was Meagan and Drake’s most wanted location and it was the perfect way to end the afternoon! And it was perfectly and luckily not too cold at all, and we had so much fun together by the water.

Altogether, it truly was such a perfect, sweet, and adventurous day. What an honor it was to be part of Meagan and Drake’s elopement. It was undoubtedly one of the most gorgeous elopement days. Their elopement was what weddings should be all about — focusing on the two of them, the love they share, and doing whatever you want for this special day. Here’s to more adventures and good times!
